GOOD Magazine features a look at wireless parking meters, which could be a very handy way to avoid circling the block in search of parking and helps to avoid re-feeding meters. In a city where parking is a lot of people’s worst nightmare, this could be really beneficial for drivers and possibly businesses (the example the video uses is restaurants offering a parking space reservation to go with a dinner reservation). This all seems good and futuristic, but the only question I have is what if someone snakes your spot if you have a “reservation”? Do you tell them they can’t park there?
